UKIE/Gfk Chart-Track have released data for boxed video game sales in the UK for the week ending June 15, and Sony’s ongoing Days of Play sale has had a significant impact on how its turned out (via GamesIndustry). Thanks to heavy discounts on a number of PlayStation 4 titles, several titles have seen boosts in sales. On top of the charts is FIFA 19, retaining its perch position from last week, having seen an increase of 53 per cent week-on-week in sales (on top of the 18 per cent increase last week).
Meanwhile, Days Gone and Marvel’s Spider-Man, which have also been similarly discounted of late, have enjoyed sales boosts as well. With increases of 35 per cent and 45 per cent, Days Gone and Spider-Man – respectively – sit at the second and third positions. PS VR exclusive Blood and Truth, which became the first VR game ever to top the UK charts in its debut week, sits in tenth position. Fellow VR title PlayStation VR Worlds charts at number 7.
