FIFA 23 Will Bring Back the Official Juventus License Again

Italian football club Juventus has had its license available exclusively in the eFootball PES series since 2020, but is now coming back to EA Sports' series.

EA Sports’ FIFA franchise has had a few legs up over its competitors for a while now, and one of the biggest points it has in its favour is the vast range of official likenesses and licenses it boasts year over year. Of course, that doesn’t necessarily apply to all major clubs. Back in 2019, for instance, the FIFA series lost the license for Italian football club Juventus, which was nabbed up exclusively by Konami instead, and since then, Juventus has appeared as “Piemonte Calcio” in FIFA games.

That will no longer be the case starting this year’s game. EA Sports has announced that it has once again picked up the Juventus license as part of an exclusive partnership agreement with the club. That means Juventus will appear in FIFA 23 and future games (which will be called EA Sports FC instead of FIFA starting next year) under its actual name rather than a placeholder. This, of course, will also include the club’s stadium, crest, kit, and more.

FIFA 23 launches on September 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC. Another Legendary Edition will also be available for Nintendo Switch.
