Forza Horizon 5 has been enjoying impressive critical and commercial success since the day it came out, and shortly after its release, it was touted by Microsoft as the biggest ever launch for an Xbox Game Studios title. Earlier this year, in January, Microsoft confirmed that the open world racer had amassed over 18 million players, and with the game maintaining its momentum, it has now crossed another major milestone.
As per the in-game Hall of Fame leaderboard – which catalogs every player that has logged into the game at least once – Forza Horizon 5 has amassed over 20 million players to date. That’s a number that it has crossed in roughly seven months since its launch last year, which is impressive by any metric. Of course, as always, it’s worth remembering that thanks to the game’s availability via Xbox Game Pass, that number isn’t representative of how much it has sold.
In our review of Forza Horizon 5, we awarded it score of 10/10, saying, “Forza Horizon 5 is the pinnacle of Playground Games’ open world racing series, and in turn, one of the best racers you’ll ever play.” On top of that, we also crowned it out Game of the Year for 2021.
Forza Horizon 5 is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
