With over a million players before release and over three million players on day one of release, Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 5 has had an incredible start. However, the overall player numbers are even higher, crossing 4.5 million on PC, Xbox platforms and cloud as per Xbox boss Phil Spencer. On Twitter, he noted that this was the largest launch day for an Xbox Game Studios title yet.
Furthermore, it’s recorded three times the peak concurrent player total of Forza Horizon 4. If that weren’t enough, the racing sim is currently the highest rated new title for 2021 according to Metacritic. You can check out our official review here for more details.
Forza Horizon 5 is available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and cloud along with Xbox Game Pass. Subsequent updates and new content are on the way, including support for on-screen American Sign Language and British Sign Language interpreters in cinematics. Stay tuned for more details when it officially goes live.
We've invested for years in Xbox so more people can play. With 4.5+ million players so far across PC, cloud & console, Forza Horizon 5 shows that promise coming to life. Largest launch day for XGS game, peak concurrent 3x FH4 high. Thank you players & congrats to @WeArePlayground
