Forza Horizon 6 Review Embargo Set for May 14th, 5 AM PST

Playground Games' open-world racer is out on May 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with Premium Edition owners able to start on May 15th.

As you’re probably aware by now, Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 6 has gone gold. With a launch in just under two weeks, we can confirm that our review will go live on May 14th at 5 AM PST.

Of course, Premium Edition owners (or those who buy the Premium Upgrade on Game Pass) can start playing on May 15th. Regardless, that should provide enough time to know whether the series’ first-ever stint in Japan is worth it. Based on various hands-on impressions and everything that Playground Games has showcased, however, it may end up being the very best yet.

Unlike previous games, Forza Horizon 6 has you visiting Japan as a tourist. Together with their friends Jordy and Mei, they quickly jump into the Horizon Festival scene, and can race through the ranks, earning Wristbands and eventually becoming a Horizon Legend. Alternatively, they can choose to explore Japan, curating Collection Journal with various memories, defogging the map, and discovering the country’s natural beauty.

Whichever way you go, it’s clear that Forza Horizon 6 is one of the biggest games of the year, if not in the entire series – at least, judging by the map size alone. It’s available worldwide on May 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with the PS5 version set for later this year.
