Gears 6 Won’t be Unveiled at E3 2021 – Rumour

Journalist Jeff Grubb says Microsoft has too much else on its plate right now.

It’s been officially confirmed that E3 will be coming back this year, and that Microsoft is going to be a part of it. That hopefully means there’s going to be at least a few big reveals and announcements to look forward to- but if you’ve hoping that Gears 6 is one of them, you shouldn’t hold out too much hope.

That’s according to journalist Jeff Grubb, who (via @IdleSloth84 on Twitter), recently said on his podcast that an announcement for Gears 6 at E3 this June is unlikely. The reason? Apparently, Microsoft currently has way too much on its plate right now.

As for what other things Microsoft could have in the pipeline for E3 2021, we don’t have anything but speculation and rumours to go on right now. It’s possible that Starfield gets an update at the show, while there have also been rumours of Forza Horizon 5 launching this year. It’s been said that Microsoft still has a couple more major unannounced games releasing this year (one of which might be Wolfenstein 3) so it’s possible that those end up getting announced as well.

Meanwhile, with Halo Infinite launching later this year, it’s very likely that we’ll get another major look at the game at E3.
