After stating that Halo Infinite’s multiplayer progression would be at the top of its priority list, 343 Industries has revealed changes coming to the XP earned from matches. Community manager John Junyszek stated that XP earned from the first six matches in a day will be increased. This change is expected to go live tomorrow.
How much XP can be expected? The first match will provide 300 XP; the second and third matches will confer 200 XP each; and the fourth, fifth and sixth matches will provide 100 XP each. Every match from that point onwards in a day will provide 50 XP, as is currently the case. This should allow players to earn one full Battle Pass tier per day, which can be tripled with an XP booster.
Of course, the development team is aware that fans want “even larger changes.” Junyszek said the team is committed to the same but that those will “take time.” As such, this is a pretty good short-term solution for those who play everyday. Now we just need to wait for 343 Industries to address armor customization concerns, missing modes and other issues.
Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is currently available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Its campaign releases on December 8th.
