Along with The Callisto Protocol and Need for Speed Unbound, Marvel’s Midnight Suns launched this past Friday. Available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, it sees various Marvel superheroes teaming up to take on the threat of Lilith. Check out the accolades trailer, which highlights critical praise, below.
Though developed by Firaxis’s XCOM team, Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a turn-based card-battler. Players choose up to three heroes – with some missions necessitating the protagonist, The Hunter – and customize their card decks. Each card corresponds to different moves, including Heroic abilities.
Battlefields have different objectives and enemies, and knowing how to utilize the environment, like tossing enemies into hazards, is important. There’s a wide variety of customization available, with each hero serving different purposes. Spider-Man finishes off enemies and generates Heroism, while Ghost Rider sacrifices his health to deal massive damage.
