Red Dead Redemption 2 Current-Gen Patch is Reportedly Coming – Rumor

Leaker AccountNgt revealed this in a deleted tweet. This follows the recent launch of Grand Theft Auto 5 for Xbox Series X/S and PS5.

Say what you will about Grand Theft Auto 5 and its recent upgrade for Xbox Series X/S and PS5, but it helped drive sales for an almost-nine year old game. It would make sense then for Rockstar Games to upgrade Red Dead Redemption 2 for the current-gen consoles, especially since it’s a more recent release.

That may be coming true, sooner or later. Leaker AccountNgt tweeted about the same, simply stating, “It’s coming, I don’t have much.” The tweet has since been removed but ScreenRant still has it embedded. For what it’s worth, we can verify that this is the real AccountNGT who leaked news like the delay of Forspoken before it was officially announced.

The question now is when this update could be announced. The Summer Game Fest will kick off on June 9th and is usually poised to have lots of big-name announcements. It’s also possible that this announcement is saved for Sony’s next showcase (whenever that may be), especially given how the companies tied up for Grand Theft Auto 5 on PS5. Time will tell so stay tuned for more details.
