Resident Evil 4 Remake Has Sold 6.48 Million Units

Catalog title sales for Capcom reached 26.7 million for Q3 of fiscal year 2023, up from 22 million during the previous year's quarter.

Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 remake has received a new sales milestone, with 6.48 million copies sold as of December 31st, 2023. It was last reported as selling 5.45 million units, with over 1.03 million additional copies sold since.

The publisher’s consolidated financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2023 noted that the title, which launched in March 2023, was supported by “ongoing promotional measures including free title updates for PlayStation VR2.”

It also had “proactive promotional campaigns to gain wide recognition for its intellectual property and acquire new fans, focusing primarily on series title sales, such as Resident Evil 2.” Thanks to Resident Evil 4 remake’s success, Capcom achieved 26.7 million sales for its catalog titles, up from 22 million in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
