A whole heap of rumours and leaks about multiple upcoming Resident Evil projects have been grabbing headlines in recent weeks, and more new details have now emerged on Resident Evil 8, which, as per leaks, is due out in early 2021 as cross-gen game, and will be revealed very soon.
In a recent report corroborating the sudden influx of information on the aforementioned Resident Evil 8 and the Resident Evil 4 remake that will reportedly release in 2022, Gematsu dropped an interesting tidbit of information on next year’s sequel, stating that like Resident Evil 7 before it, the game will feature support for PlayStation VR.
According to the leaks, Resident Evil 8 is going to be a first person title, so it would be very well suited to virtual reality support. Meanwhile, the PS5 is confirmed to support PSVR, so both PlayStation consoles will be able to run the alleged Resident Evil 8 in virtual reality.
Of course, this is not officially revealed information, and even though the intensity of leaks about Resident Evil’s future projects has been heating up, it’s best to wait on official word from Capcom before putting too much stock into any of it. Stay tuned though, and we’ll keep you updated on any new info that comes our way.
