Sniper Elite 5 is Out Now

Rebellion's World War 2 shooter is out now, combining sandbox maps, tactical stealth and combat, and gleefully gory sniping.

Five years on from the launch of the last game in Rebellion’s World War 2 stealth series, Sniper Elite 5 is out now. The developer and publisher has released a launch trailer to commemorate the same, showcasing its sniping, stealth, combat, and more. Check it out below.

Sniper Elite 5 brings back long-time series protagonist Karl Fairburne, who travels to France in 1944 to learn about and dismantle a Nazi operation dubbed Operation: Kraken. The game brings several additions to the series’ formula, including expanded customizations, expanded traversal mechanics, a new Invasions mechanic, co-op wave-based Survival mode, an expanded suite of multiplayer offerings, a large array of accessibility features, and more. According to Rebellion, the campaign, which spans eight missions, is roughly 20 hours long.

In our review of Sniper Elite 5, we awarded it a score of 8/10, saying, “Sniper Elite 5 is a top-notch stealth game. It might not have the flair of a AAA blockbuster, but thanks to its incredible stealth mechanics and its intricate and meticulously crafted levels, it is mighty impressive in the areas the count the most.” You can read the full review through here.

Sniper Elite 5 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is also available via Xbox Game Pass.
