If things had gone according to plan for Microsoft and Bethesda, Starfield would have already been out for nearly two months at this point. Delays are exceedingly common though, especially for the larger-scale titles, and Starfield was delayed from its previously announced November 2022 launch into the first half of 2023. Since that announcement was made several months ago, there have been next to no other updates on the highly-anticipated space-faring RPG- but it seems to still be on track for its intended launch window.
That’s as per Starfield’s official support page, which recently went live. Though not necessarily concrete indication of an impending release by itself, the support page does mention the game’s launch window in an FAQ. The page reads: “Starfield arrives exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC in the first half of 2023.”
Of course, that doesn’t mean that there is no chance of further delays – you can never bet against delays, after all – but it is encouraging to see that Microsoft and Bethesda have reiterated its release timing. Hopefully, we’ll get more concrete details soon- perhaps at the rumoured Xbox event that Microsoft allegedly has in the pipeline for the early months of the year.
Meanwhile, the next few months will see a couple of other major first party Xbox releases as well, with Redfall also set to launch in the first half of 2023, and Forza Motorsport due out sometime in Spring.
