Forza Motorsport was one of several upcoming first party Xbox games to be shown off at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase earlier in the month, and as is tradition for the series, the game looked absolutely stunning. Plenty of details on the racing sim have already been made available, from its dynamic 24-hour day/night system to its introduction of trackside pits, among other things, and in a recently published FAQ on the official Forza website, developer Turn 10 Studios provided some more brief new details.

To be more precise, the developer has confirmed the game’s target resolution and frame rate for consoles. On Xbox Series X, Forza Motorsport will target 4K and 60 FPS, while on Xbox Series S, it will target 1080p and 60 FPS. Whether or not the game will have multiple graphics mode remains to be seen, though information on that front will likely be made available much closer to launch.

Either way, those are bound to be crowd-pleasing numbers, though whether or not Turn 10 can make good on the promises being made is another matter, especially with Forza Motorsport’s implementation of real-time ray tracing during gameplay.

Forza Motorsport launches for Xbox Series X/S and PC in Spring 2023. Ahead of that, next month we will also see the launch of Forza Horizon 5’s first expansion, Hot Wheels.
