April 16th sees the arrival of Neon White (Standard) and SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game (all tiers), followed by Crime Scene Cleaner and Tempopo on April 17th for Ultimate and PC Game Pass. On April 24th, Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be playable on PC Game Pass and Ultimate as a day-one release.

April 29th sees Stoic’s Towerborne, or at least the Game Preview, going live on April 29th, months after launching into Steam Early Access. The month concludes with Far Cry 4 for all three tiers. Starting May 1st, Anno 1800 will be available for Ultimate, Standard and PC Game Pass alongside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022). On May 6th, all three tiers can play the Lovecraftian-esque fishing title Dredge.

Of course, several titles will be leaving the service on April 30th. Check out the list below:

For PS4, there’s Far Cry 4, LEGO The Hobbit, and LEGO The Incredibles. Titles available for both platforms include Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6, Monster Hunter Rise and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers. PlayStation VR2 owners can also play Kayak: VR Mirage for free.

As for the Classics Catalog, Ghosthunter from the PS2 era is being added, alongside Daxter (a spin-off from the Jak and Daxter series) and LEGO Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy from the PlayStation Portable era. All three titles will be playable on PS4 and PS5. Stay tuned for titles that will leave the Game Catalog in the coming weeks, and check out the latest monthly titles available for all tiers here.

Anno 1800 Console Edition is available in two distinct flavours: standard edition and deluxe edition. The standard edition will feature the base game along with all the major updates it has gotten throughout its time released on PC. The deluxe edition adds in three cosmetic packs: the Pedestrian Zone, the Amusements Pack, and Vibrant Cities.

Pre-ordering Anno 1800 Console Edition comes with additional bonus cosmetic packs, along with the digital artbook and soundtrack.

Anno 1800 puts players in charge of an island set in the 1800s. The game was originally released on PC back in 2019, and has since seen quite a few updates as well as DLC releases that further expanded on its core gameplay of building up settlements and setting up elaborate trade networks.

A spokesperson told Eurogamer, “We’re constantly evaluating how to bring our games to different audiences wherever they are while providing a consistent player ecosystem through Ubisoft Connect. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800 and Roller Champions are among the Ubisoft titles that will be releasing on Steam.”

All three titles are currently exclusive to the Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store. Previously known as UPlay, the former has been Ubisoft’s dedicated storefront since November 2009. It would exclusively launch its PC titles on the platform, though some games like Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Far Cry 6, and so on would also be available on the Epic Games Store. It remains to be seen if other Ubisoft Connect-exclusive titles will also be available on Steam, so stay tuned in the coming months.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will receive The Last Chapter on December 6th with Title Update 1.6.2 and concludes Eivor’s story (though you’ll need to have finished the main story among other things). The Steam version arrives on the same day, it may be the best opportunity for new players to jump in. For more details on the base game, check out our review here.

The console release of Anno 1800 will also be getting a technical test in November, for which players can sign up on the official website. There is no release date announced for Anno 1800 Console Edition yet, but more details about the console release are set to be revealed in 2023.

While no other details have been revealed, it is quite likely that Anno 1800 Console Edition will be released as a bundle along with all of the DLC that has been released for the game so far.

The game quickly proved to be the most popular one in the Anno franchise by becoming the fastest selling Anno game shortly after its release.

A special Assassin’s Creed showcase to reveal the “future of the franchise” is also promised. Assassin’s Creed Mirage, confirmed as the next game in the series after numerous leaks, will be present. It’s reportedly releasing in Spring and brings back the crowd density seen in Assassin’s Creed Unity. The gameplay also allegedly includes various stealth-focused mechanics like throwing knives, hiding spots on rooftops, and slow-mo assassinations.

In addition to the main show is a pre-show that begins at 11:35 AM PST with updates on new content coming to titles like Brawhalla, For Honor, Anno 1800 and The Crew 2. Stay tuned for live coverage when the event airs this Saturday.

When FSR launches on June 22, it will reportedly be supported by seven games, namely: The Riftbreaker, Anno 1800, Terminator Resistance, 22 Racing Series, Evil Genius 2, KingShunt, and Godfall.

Meanwhile, plenty of major upcoming games are also allegedly planning FSR support. The twelve games mentioned in the report are Far Cry 6, Resident Evil Village, Baldur’s Gate 3, DOTA 2, Farming Simulator 22, Forspoken, Swordsman Remake, Necromunda: Hired Gun, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, Asterigos, Edge of Eternity, and Myst.

Finally, the report claims that currently, a total of 44 developers and publishers across the industry are working with AMD’S FSR. It’s a big list with several big names, including the likes of Bloober Team, Crystal Dynamics, Focus Home Interactive, Rebellion, Capcom, EA, Gearbox, Larian Studios, Obsidian Entertainment, Valve, Turtle Rock Studios, Koch Media, Avalanche Software, Ubisoft, WB Games, and many others.

This is still an unconfirmed report, so take it with a grain of salt for now, but with FSR launching in just a few days, we should begin getting much more concrete information very soon.

Meanwhile, Microsoft recently also said that they’re “excited by the potential” of FSR, and more details on support for Xbox Series X/S will be shared “soon.” Read more on that through here.

Ubisoft Blue Byte’s city-planning, economy-balancing title Anno 1800 is getting a whole new season of DLC. It kicks off this month with Seat of Power on March 24th. This will allow players to add palaces to their cities for the purpose of enacting different policies. Game Update 7 will become available for all players on the same day and allows for customizing the difficulty of Influence level.

Other DLC coming up in Season 2 includes Bright Harvest in the Summer which introduces tractors and other mechanized farming methods to one’s landscape. It will also introduce new agricultural and industrial ornaments for decorating one’s city. Land of Lions is out later this year and sees players traveling to Africa, using a new irrigation system to liven up the desert.

The first paid DLC for Blue Byte’s Anno 1800 is now live with Sunken Treasures. It sees players tracking the queen, who’s gone missing, and heading to Cape Trelawney. There are new quests to undertake, a new capital to establish, and much, much more. Check out the trailer below.

Sunken Treasures features a third session, and players will discover small, medium, and large islands that can be colonized. You’ll also run into a new NPC named Old Nate, who will provide you with the diving bell. This can be used to explore sunken wrecks and engage in the new crafting mechanics. Trade carefully though – Old Nate isn’t exactly the straightest of arrows. More than 100 new items are also being added, which includes new zoo and museum sets. Players will also get new inventions and specialists.

Blue Byte’s excellent city-builder/economics title Anno 1800 will be receiving its first paid DLC on July 30th with Sunken Treasures. Containing a new storyline that’s roughly six hours long with “dozens” of new quests, the DLC can be purchased stand-alone or with the Season Pass. Conversely, new players can pick up the Gold Edition which includes Anno 1800 Digital Deluxe Edition with the Season Pass.

Other content coming in Sunken Treasures a third session with small, medium and large islands to explore and colonize. There’s also a new continental island that will be three times as large as the base game’s biggest island. If that weren’t enough, crafting and the new diving bell (where you’ll explore sunken wrecks for materials) will be added courtesy of a new NPC trader named Old Nate.

New specialists, new inventions and new quest items, along with new sets for the zoo and museum, will also be added. There’s over 100 new items in total to sort through. Game Update 4 will also be going live with the DLC and Blue Byte is promising “a thing or two that the community has been waiting for” which will be free to all base game players.
