Anno 1800

Ubisoft Blue Byte’s Anno 1800 has been quite the success since launching. Not only is it the fastest-selling title in the series, but it’s also sold over four times the number of copies as Anno 2205. Blue Byte have also shared some interesting stats from the first week, including the construction of over 10 million ships and more than 3 million islands settled.

Managing director Benedikt Grindel stated in a press release, “Anno 1800 has been an incredible journey for all the people working at Ubisoft Blue Byte and we are so happy to see that players really enjoy playing our game. Since the announcement of the game, the community of Anno 1800 has provided us with countless useful feedbacks through our community platform Anno Union and helped us releasing an excellent game.

“We really feel privileged to have one of the most committed communities of the video game industry. After this amazing and successful launch, we now completely focus on delivering the best post-launch content possible for Anno 1800 and can’t wait to show you more!”

Other interesting stats include nearly 7 billion citizens settled on those islands and over 1 billion grain fields. Though there was some concern over its success, considering it went exclusive to the Epic Games Store and Uplay, Anno 1800 appears to have done quite well for itself. More content is coming in the future too. Ubisoft Blue Byte have announced a Season Pass with three DLC packs that take players to new locations, along with free content like co-op and a Statistics Building.
