NetEase has announced that since its PC launch over two years ago in August 2021, Naraka: Bladepoint has been played by over 40 million players. The company attributes this to the game’s active esports presence and its consistent content updates, which, in addition to new heroes and weapons, have also included crossover events and even a 3-player campaign, which arrived last year.

Earlier this year, Naraka: Bladepoint also transitioned to being a free-to-play game, which undoubtedly would have attracted a fair amount of players as well. Details on the content that’ll be added to the game over the course of 2024 will be shared at the next Naraka Fest showcase on December 19.

Naraka: Bladepoint is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.

The developer has announced that on July 13, Naraka: Bladepoint will finally be coming to PS5. All PS5 players will be a number of free in-game items as a way to welcome them to the game, including a Katana skin, a Ryuzan·Frost Reflection, and 2 Immortal Treasures. Meanwhile, PlayStation Plus subscribers will also get additional items on top of that, including 5 more Treasures and an exclusive piece of headgear.

Additionally, 24 Entertainment has also announced that Naraka: Bladepoint will be going free-to-play on the same day across all platforms. Whether that will go hand-in-hand with eventual monetization changes remains to be seen.

Naraka: Bladepoint is currently available on PC and Xbox Series X/S.

Koei Tecmo has announced that it’s collaborating with 24 Entertainment and NetEase for upcoming DLC for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Update 1.10, which is set to go live on June 29 later this week, will add free two free new armour sets for all players, Crimson Knight and Loyal Drunk, both of which will be inspired by melee-based battle royale game Naraka: Bladepoint. Earlier this month, Koei Tecmo also announced a Wo Long collaboration with Neowiz’s upcoming Bloodborne-inspired Soulslike action RPG Lies of P. Read more on that through here.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The Showdown campaign involves players teaming up in teams of three to take on a series of challenges across two stages. The first stage involves fighting against hordes of eneies across the map before fighting off a boss.

The campaign features four playable heroes, each with their own powers and abilities. The characters are upgraded over the course of the campaign with new equipment and skills.

The studio has also announced that a new map will be coming to Naraka: Bladepoint on August 19. Titled Holoroth, the features a new region with deserts and snowy areas, as well as new gameplay-affecting features like a weather system, interactive objects, and traps. Having recently released on Xbox Series X/S, Naraka: Bladepoint is now available on PC, and Xbox Series X/S. Versions for PS5, Xbox One, and Android/iOS are also in the works.

Earlier this month, it was announced that the game would be launching soon for Xbox as well, and that’s now happened. Naraka: Bladepoint is now available on Xbox Series X/S, and is also available straight away via Xbox Game Pass. And yes, it supports cross-play across both versions. Check out its Xbox launch trailer below.

A new campaign mode is also in the works for the game, though there’s no word yet on when that will launch. Last year, a PS5 version of the game was also confirmed to be in development, but there’s no word on its release date just yet.

But that’s not all as FIFA 22 arrives on consoles and PC on June 23rd via EA Play. Martial arts battle royale Naraka: Bladepoint goes live on the same day for cloud, consoles and PC. On July 1st, Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5 becomes available for Xbox consoles, PC and the cloud. This follows other titles like Assassin’s Creed Origins, which was updated for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and added to Game Pass.

As usual, a select number of titles will be leaving the Xbox Game Pass library so either finish them quickly or use the 20 percent discount with the subscription to purchase the same. Check out all of the games leaving the service on June 30th:

Naraka: Bladepoint is a 60-player battle royale with a focus on melee combat and parkour movement. It gives plenty of movement options, such as allowing players to grapple and freerun their way through the map.

While it focuses on melee combat, Naraka: Bladepoint also has ranged combat for characters that can use magic or ranged weapons. It allows solo play, or play with up to two friends in trios mode, with each player playing unique heroes.

Coinciding with the Xbox Series X|S release of Naraka: Bladepoint, the game is also getting a new weapon—the Dual Blades. Players can use the new weapon to charge their attacks for added damage.

Naraka: Bladepoint also has a new campaign mode in the works, and is set to release “very soon”. In the campaign mode, teams of three will take on new enemies and bosses in different scenarios.

Shenmue 3

Much like its predecessors, Shenmue 3 has its fair share of imperfections. Nevertheless, its combat – which once again takes cues from Virtua Fighter – is still kind of fun, whether you’re carefully dodging attacks or using Skills to decimate foes. Perhaps the most enjoyable part is the training as you practice with wooden dummies, discover Skill Books and study under other martial artists. It’s like a proper arc where Ryo slowly but surely becomes stronger (not strong enough to beat Lan-Di but still).

24 Entertainment has announced that the game will be receiving a new mode this month. Called Omni’s Nightmare, it will see players pitted against each other in three factions, where each faction has their own set of goals to fulfil.

Players will be randomly assigned to one of the three factions in the game: Human, Evil-Ent, and Evil-Ent Lord. If a player is assigned the role of Hero, their goal will to light three soul sparks. As Evil-Ent or Evil-Ent Lord, it will be to prevent the heroes from lighting the soul spark or decimating them.

While playing as the Hero for the first part of the match, players will be equipped with ranged weapons and no ultimate moves. The second phase, which starts after hitting certain requirements, will open up a portal with stronger weapons to use. On the other hand, Evil-Ent and Evil-Ent Lord players are fast, agile, and come equipped with axes, which they can throw at heroes to deal damage.

The game mode is scheduled to be added on March 11. A new trailer for it has also been released, which you can check out below.

Season 3 of the game, called Echelon, introduces a fire and ice theme, alongside a new seasonal event called Spring Blooms, which will let players collect Blossom Branches by completing in-game missions. Those, in turn, can be exchanged for exclusive rewards related to Valentine’s Day, such as a special new emote called Envy, and more. A new hero, Justina Gu, is also now playable.

Apart from the above, the new season also adds in a new duos mode in ranked matches, along with changes to the Souljades system, adding in more of them with new changes such as Souljades, which can save players from death, steal health, and more. You can get more details in the trailers below.

The developers also announced that Naraka: Bladepoint will host a free weekend for players to try out the new season along. The free weekend is planned to start on February 18 and will end on February 22. Apart from that, the game is  also slated to launch on consoles at some point in the future.
