The battle royale genre, as popular as it is, has been averse to stepping outside of its comfort zone, at least as far as the biggest and most popular names in the space are concerned. 24 Entertainment’s fantasy action battle royale game Naraka: Bladepoint, however, is attempting to put its own unique spin on the genre, and it’s looking quite interesting. And it’s coming pretty soon, too.

At the E3 2021 PC Gaming Show, it was announced that Naraka: Bladepoint will be launching for PC via Steam on August 12. Before that, however, you will have a chance to try out the game and see if its for you, with an open beta going live on July 16 and running for a week, until July 22. Check out the game’s trailer below.

Naraka: Bladepoint features several playable classes, each with their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Ranged snipers, melee fighters, and many more are available. It’s certainly sounding unique in the battle royale space, so it might be worth keeping an eye on.
