Dotemu's widely-acclaimed beat 'em up revival Streets of Rage 4 has now launched for mobile devices for a price of $7.99.

Anyone who has even a passing interest in beat ’em up games owes it to themselves to play Dotemu’s widely-acclaimed Streets of Rage 4, which is not only one of the better games of the genre in recent memory, but one of the best of all time, arguably surpassing even the excellence of its own predecessors. It’s become available on a wide variety of platforms since it first launched in April 2020, and now, it’s available even more.

Streets of Rage 4 is now available on iOS and Android devices. The mobile version of the game, published by Playdigious, is a full-featured port that brings over the experience in its entirety as is, so you can expect to dive into its offerings without any compromises. The game costs $7.99, while the meaty (and similarly excellent) Mr. X Nightmare DLC can be purchased for an additional $2.99. You can check out the game’s mobile launch trailer below.

In addition to iOS and Android, Streets of Rage 2 is also available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, Linux, and Stadia. You can read our review of the game through here.

Retailing for $8, the mobile version will have a redesigned interface catering to touch-screens, cloud save support and more.

Side-scrolling beat ’em up Streets of Rage 4 is coming to mobiles. Playdigious has confirmed that it will release on May 24th for iOS and Android, retailing for $8. A new trailer briefly showcases gameplay from the mobile version – check it out below.

Originally released in April 2020, Streets of Rage 4 takes place 25 years after the previous game and sees classic fighters like Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding return.
The action roguelike title continues to enjoy impressive sales.

Dead Cells launched back in 2018, nearly three years ago, but it has somehow managed to remain in the zeitgeist since then. Thanks to constant updates, big and small, from Motion Twin and Evil Empire, Dead Cells has not only managed to retain a solid playerbase, but even see consistent growth for it at a pretty steady rate since its release. That, of course, has resulted in impressive sales for the roguelike action title, and it’s now hit another sales landmark.

Motion Twin and Evil Empire have confirmed that Dead Cells has now sold over 5 million units at launch. This is up from the 3.5 million sales that were reported in December 2020. The sudden burst in sales has been attributed to the game’s mobile launch in China, which in itself has already sold 1 million units. Meanwhile, The Bad Seed DLC, which originally launched last year, will also be releasing for the game on iOS and Android soon, so players should be quite busy with new content for a while.

Dead Cells is available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, and Android.

An Android version is also in the pipeline.

Motion Twin’s excellent roguelike metroidvania action title, Dead Cells – one of the best games of 2018 – is coming to iOS devices in the Summer, thanks to the efforts of mobile publishing specialists Playdigious. An Android version of the game has also been confirmed, though it’s not yet been announced when exactly that will be releasing.

The mobile version of Dead Cells will, as one might expect, be catered to be played on touch screen-only devices. Players will be able to customize and remap controls, including swiping to dodge, or changing the positions and sizes of the on-screen buttons, while external MFi controller support is also confirmed. There will also be two game modes- original, and auto-hit, so choose based on what you’re more comfortable with on mobile devices.

Dead Cells is an incredible game, so it’s great to see it being made available to even larger audiences. It is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch, having sold over a million copies as of the end of March. Developers Motion Twin have been supporting it with lots of new content ever since its release last year. Just recently, the Rise of the Giants DLC was rolled out, and the developers have no plans to stop with new content updates any time soon– though it doesn’t look like they’ll ever be working on a sequel.

The action adventure platformer will arrive on May 30th for mobile devices.

Lizardcube has announced that its action adventure platformer Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap will be coming to iOS and Android. Published by Playdigious, it will retail for $8.99 and release on May 30th. Check out the announcement trailer below.

With gorgeous hand-drawn visuals and an excellent score, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is a remake of the 1989 title Wonder Boy 3. It features the shape-shifting Hu-Man battling dragons to lift a curse. Originally able to turn into a lizard, players will eventually be able to assume other forms to bypass obstacles.

Along with Lizard-Man, Mouse-Man and so on, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap will also include other playable characters like Hu-Girl. Even cooler is the fact that players can change between the new crisp visuals and old-school 8-bit presentation on the fly. Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is also available for PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
