The Outer Worlds – Opening 20 Minutes Revealed in New Video

Find how the protagonist's journey through the Halcyon Cluster begins.

One of the major releases remaining for October is Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds. The FPS/RPG channels the likes of Fallout: New Vegas but sees the player awaken on a drifting colony ship in the Halcyon Cluster. The first 20 minutes were recently revealed in a new video by IGN First – check it out below.

Having been asleep for 70 years, the protagonist must now navigate a system where megacorporations rule. What is their purpose? Before that, players will have to decide their own path. As you meet various NPCs, you can be a benevolent hero, a cunning villain or a complete maniac.

Some choices aren’t so cut and dry though (check out this gameplay of quest in Edgewater). But experiencing all the different choices makes replaying the game that much more enticing. The Outer Worlds is out on October 25th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will release for Xbox Game Pass on console and PC as well with the former requiring 37 GB of free space.
