The Quarry Will be 10 Hours Long on Average

Game director Will Byles says an average playthrough of The Quarry should be about 10 hours long- though there'll be plenty of reasons to come back for more.

With The Quarry’s promise of choice-driven narrative horror adventure that serves as a spiritual successor to beloved 2014 title Until Dawn, it’s no surprise that the game is on the radar for a great many people, and as we approach its launch, new details on the game are continuing to emerge.

Recently, for instance, in an interview with SegmentNext, game director Will Byles (who also directed Until Dawn) said that an average playthrough of The Quarry will be about ten hours long- though as you’d expect from a Supermassive-developed game at this point, there will be plenty of reasons to go back for more.

“Depending on the player, a single playthrough of The Quarry can take about ten hours,” Byles said. “The game is also designed to be highly replayable, as we think many will want to go down alternate paths and make different choices. If you’re looking to experience every permutation of the story for The Quarry, you will find yourself playing for a very long time!”

The Quarry is going to have a total of 186 possible endings, and that combined with its additional offerings – such as the new Movie Mode – should certainly make sure that, where content is concerned, the game isn’t found lacking. Thankfully, there isn’t long left until it launches, so we’ll know one way or another soon enough.

The Quarry recently went gold, and will be launching on June 10 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
