Digital Extremes’ TennoCon took place this weekend, revealing all kinds of new content coming to Warframe (along with the announcement of new titles like Soulframe and Airship Syndicate’s new IP). Of course, there are even more features like cross-platform play, cross-save and even a mobile version.
In a recent tweet, the developer said it was continuing its path “towards Crossplay, Cross-Save, and mobile development”. It had been exploring crossplay for the past year along with internally testing it. Thankfully, players can get their hands on it with community testing coming “soon.”
There’s currently no ETA on cross-save and the mobile version so we’ll have to wait for more details. As for Soulframe, it’s a free-to-play action MMORPG with a focus on fantasy. Creative director Geoff Crookes described it as “nature and humanity colliding” and the team wants to play with ideas like “restoration and exploration.”
When it launches remains to be seen but there may be a long beta period with extensive community feedback like Warframe. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months (or years).
