Bethesda is “Still Sorting Stuff Out” for Starfield Showcase

Microsoft and Bethesda confirmed last month that a standalone showcase focused on the upcoming sci-fi RPG was in the works.

Starfield is probably Microsoft’s biggest upcoming release of the year, but frustratingly enough, as things stand, it’s also the one we’ve seen the least of in recent weeks and months. Last month, Microsoft and Bethesda announced that a standalone showcased focused exclusively on the space-faring RPG was being worked on- but when exactly can we expect that showcase?

In a nutshell, that’s still yet to be nailed down. A Bethesda community manager recently explained in a Discord message (via @DoubleDPads on Twitter) that the team was “still sorting stuff out” for the Starfield showcase and would be sharing more information when it’s prepared to do so. That’s not exactly a specific answer, but if nothing else, it is a bit of an update.

Recently, Bethesda also suggested that Starfield’s release date would be announced at the upcoming showcase.

What that release date will be is up in the air right now. Officially, the game is due out in the first half of this year, and though there have been claims that it may have been delayed into later in the Summer, other, more recent reports have stated that it’s still targeting June launch.

Starfield is in development for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
