Evidence continues to pile up that Capcom are looking into remaking more Resident Evil titles after the back-to-back annual releases of Resident Evil 2 and 3. A new survey sent out by Capcom – which focuses primarily on the recently released remake – asks a couple of questions about the future of the franchise, and one question specifically asks about future remakes- more specifically whether people would be interested in purchasing a new remake in the series.
Last year following the critical and commercial success of Resident Evil 2, Capcom said that they would continue to focus on similar remakes for the foreseeable future. Most recently, report emerged that claimed that M-Two, the developers of Resident Evil 3, are working on another large-scale Resident Evil remake, and that it is currently scheduled for 2022. While many are suspecting that it will be a remake of Resident Evil – Code: Veronica, other reports have disputed that possibility.
Meanwhile, Resident Evil 3 is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can read our review of the campaign and our impressions of the multiplayer component Resistance through the links.
