Amazon Prime’s Fallout series has brought a major boost for the Fallout franchise as a whole. On top of the TV show’s success itself, the recent wave of reignited interest surrounding the property has also brought significant boosts for a number of Fallout games as well- including the free-to-play title Fallout Shelter.
As reported by GamesIndustry, per data from Sensor Tower, Fallout Shelter has seen a significant uptick of late in terms of both downloads and the revenue it’s generating on mobile devices. From April 9 (a day before the Amazon series premiered) to April 13, the game’s downloads were up by 346.6 percent, from under 15,000 downloads per day to over 60,000. Meanwhile, revenue has also climbed, shooting up by 232.4 percent within the same period, starting out at under $20,000 per day to nearly $80,000.
Interestingly enough, following the Amazon series’ premiere, Fallout Shelter also climbed to No. 7 in the charts for top free games on the iOS App Store in the US, the highest it’s climbed since June 2018.
Recently, Fallout 76 also hit its highest ever concurrent users peak on Steam, while Fallout 4 and Fallout: New Vegas have also seen significant boosts in player activity.
Fallout 4 is also set to receive its long-awaited Next-Gen Update on April 25, accompanied by full optimization for the Steam Deck.
