Microsoft Flight Simulator Rated for Xbox Series X/S by ESRB

A release date for the critically accalimed flight sim on consoles could be revealed at the upcoming Xbox E3 2021 showcase.

Many titles are rumored to be appearing at the Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 showcase, including The Outer Worlds 2, Psychonauts 2 and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 (but with no gameplay demo planned). It’s also possible that Microsoft Flight Simulator for Xbox Series X/S could be present, especially since its slated to release on the consoles this Summer. A new rating by the ESRB for the title on Xbox Series X/S lends credence to this.

Of course, while the title has been rated for current-gen platforms, there’s still a rating for Xbox One (along with Windows PC) that’s valid. Microsoft stated back in January 2021 that an Xbox One release hadn’t been ruled out. There’s also last month’s rating from PEGI which indicates that a previous-gen release is still happening.

The Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 showcase is set for June 13th so we won’t have to wait too long for any new details. Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC and has had over two million players thus far. Check out our review for it here.
