Psychonauts 2 Will be at the E3 2021 Xbox Event

Speculation is running rampant about everything from Halo Infinite, Starfield, and Forza Horizon 5 to Arkane’s Omen, Avowed, and The Outer Wilds 2 making an appearance at Microsoft’s E3 show in less than a couple of weeks. That it’s going to be a packed event seems almost like a given at this point- and another game that is seemingly likely to take the stage is Psychonauts 2.

In a recently published article, Windows Central’s Jez Corden wrote that Double Fine Productions’ highly anticipated platformer is going to have a showcase at the Xbox show on June 13. Double Fine has given assurances on multiple occasions that Psychonauts 2 is definitely coming out this year, so a gameplay showing at E3 looks like a pretty safe bet. Probably a release date will be announced as well, though that’s just speculation for now.

Meanwhile, Corden also writes in his article that Psychonauts 2 “may be beefier than many are probably expecting.” It remains to be seen exactly how that’s going to be the case, but we’re curious to find out.
