Double Fine Productions’ Psychonauts 2 is coming this year (for real, assures the developer) and to help showcase what’s next, there will be extensive coverage via Game Informer. The newest gameplay video provides a look at the Mental Connection, a new Psi-Power that Raz can utilize. Check it out below.

The Mental Connection is about connecting ideas together in different ways. Raz can use it to traverse environments and access out-of-the-way locations or in combat to pull enemies close for a smacking. When dealing with the Heavy Censor, Raz will be pulled towards it instead. So you could use Psi-Powers from a distance, pull yourself in and then finish off the enemy with a strike.

Mental Connection is only one of the new powers that players will utilize in Psychonauts 2. The 3D platformer is currently in development for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PC. It will also launch day one on Xbox Game Pass. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
