The long overdue and highly anticipated Psychonauts 2 has been delayed a few times over the last few years, but it’s not going to be delayed out of its current 2021 launch window. Earlier this year, Double Fine studio head Tim Schafer revealed that the trippy platformer’s development was nearing completion, which was followed by the developer giving assurances that it would indeed be launching this year.

Now, Double Fine has taken to Twitter once again to reiterate that Psychonauts 2 will be releasing this year- there will be no more delays. An exact release date of the game is yet to be confirmed, of course, but fans will be happy to know that it’s going to be a matter of a few months, at most. Maybe we’ll get a concrete launch date at E3 next month.

Whenever it launches, Psychonauts 2 will be available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It also recently received some new screenshots, which you can check out through here.
