Xbox is one of several big-name publishers confirmed for Gamescom alongside Bethesda, Nintendo and Bandai Namco. Microsoft promised one of its biggest booths, and sources told Insider Gaming that the company is going “all out.” It will reportedly have playable demos for upcoming releases Forza Motorsport, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and Towerborne.
Each game will be playable for attendees, but more details will also allegedly be revealed (perhaps at Gamescom Opening Night Live). While Forza Motorsport launches on October 10th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, Towerborne will arrive in 2024 for both platforms with playtests planned for this year. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is still planned for this year, though it skipped the Xbox Games Showcase in June.
Gamescom runs from August 23rd to 27th, while Gamescom Opening Night Live will occur on August 22nd. Stay tuned for more details and announcements during this period. Sony and THQ Nordic won’t attend the show, though the former rumored to have show in August, potentially to reveal the PS5 Slim. THQ Nordic also has its own presentation scheduled for next week.
