E3 2021 starts next week and major publishers like Microsoft, Bethesda, Ubisoft and Nintendo will be part of it. A number of eyes are on the Xbox and Bethesda showcase since we may finally learn more about Starfield. However, there should be a number of exclusives from Xbox Game Studios to see as well. Except for Perfect Dark, Fable, State of Decay 3 and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.
This is according to Windows Central, which cited sources that said most of these games wouldn’t appear. The one exception is Hellblade 2. It may have a teaser or vid-doc providing an update and reminding everyone that it’s still in development. But a full in-engine gameplay demo slice is not currently planned.
The reason for this is simple – many titles are still in deep development right now and can’t take time out to build content meant specifically for E3. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 was first unveiled at The Game Awards 2019 and confirmed as exclusive to Xbox Series X and PC. Last year, development had shifted to Unreal Engine 5 and very few updates – save for a cinematic lighting experiment and the formation and dissolving of clouds – have been provided. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
