As the latest title in the acclaimed adventure game series, the story focuses on Alex Chen as she investigates the town of Haven Springs.

Deck Nine’s adventure title Life is Strange: True Colors launched last September, but for those who still haven’t taken the plunge, a demo is available on PC via Steam. Though the exact length of the demo isn’t specified, it does allow for transferring progress over to the full game.

Life is Strange: True Colors stars a new lead character Alex Chen. Alex has a “curse,” which allows her to see the auras of different emotions. She can know how people are feeling and gain insight into someone’s thoughts based on the strength of those emotions. Things seem to be looking up when she ventures to Haven Springs, Colorado, to live with her brother Gabe.

Unfortunately, when Gabe dies in an accident, Alex must use her power to discover the truth and what lies beneath the surface of the seemingly quaint town. Life is Strange: True Colors is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. Check out our review here for more details.

Multiple titles in Square Enix's legendary RPG series will find their way onto Sony's streaming service throughout the year.

There are few franchises that can really manage to stand the test of time. One of those select few happens to be Final Fantasy. The series began all the way in the NES era and has continued on in some form to this very day with 15 (soon to be 16) mainline titles and a variety of spin-offs and individual sequels. With Final Fantasy 7‘s release in 1997, the brand also became closely associated with PlayStation, and now that game will appropriately be the first in several classic entries coming to the PS Now service.

As announced earlier today, five classic Final Fantasy titles will be coming to PS Now starting this month with the remastered version of the original Final Fantasy 7. In October, Final Fantasy 8 Remastered will follow, and then in November will be Final Fantasy 9 to round out the original PS1 released trio of titles. Then for December, it will be a double whammy with HD remasters of Final Fantasy 10 and its sequel, 10-2. There will be a number skip here as 11 was a MMO title, but 2022 will begin with the release of Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age.

These titles will begin coming to the service starting on September 7th, which you can download or stream on all PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 as well as compatible PCs.

Venture with Alex to Haven Springs where to share an awkward reunion reunion with her brother Gabe and meet the various residents.

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection may have been delayed to early 2022 but Deck Nine’s Life is Strange: True Colors is still surging ahead with its release. Following last week’s gameplay video, IGN has showcased the first 15 minutes of the story. It sees Alex making her way to Haven Springs, being reunited with her brother Gabe and using her power to see his feelings.

As with previous protagonists, Alex has her own unique power – she can see the emotions of different characters, denoted by different colors. This allows her to hear their thoughts and, if the emotions are strong enough, previous memories. By using this power, Alex will venture through Haven Springs and attempt to solve a tragic death.

Life is Strange: True Colors is out on September 10th for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. It’s also coming to Nintendo Switch at a later date. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming weeks.

Get an extended look at the latest entry in the narrative adventure game with introduction to multiple characters and a key location.

Next month we will once again step into the world of Life is Strange with True Colors. Unlike the previous titles, the game will release in one full package as opposed to multiple episodes and will follow Alex, a telepath who can sense and manipulate the emotions of the people around her. Fans who have followed the series no doubt know what to expect at this point, but today Square Enix has given us a peak of some early moments.

As you can see below, there is just over 13 minutes of gameplay from the game. It features Alex going into the record store of the fictional Colorado town Haven Springs, which will serve as the setting for this entry. Here Alex also meets two key characters, including Steph, who will be the main character of the prequel DLC, Wavelengths, that will release shortly after the main game. You’ll see that a lot here is familiar from previous games, from the choice system to the movement, as well as doing a few silly, but fun, everyday tasks to progress the story.

Life is Strange: True Colors will release on September 10th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Stadia with a Switch version recently delayed but still set to come later this year.

The small Colorado town will serve as the setting for the newest entry in the anthology series, and today we get a look at what the place is like.

Later this year, we will once again set into the offbeat and quirky world of Life is Strange with the third mainline entry in the series, True Colors. Bucking the episodic nature of previous games, it will release as one full title, with the focus this time being on empathy, with the main protagonist being Alex Chen, a young girl who can sense and feel other people’s emotional state. The game will also return to the small town setting, this time in Colorado with Haven Springs, and today we got a highlight video of what the fictional place is like.

A new video was released, narrated by one of the potential romantic interests for Alex, Steph, as she details Haven Springs. It will house the cast of eccentric characters the game will have, and there are also several different events talked about, such as a Spring Festival and a town wide live role-playing game, both of which will probably play a role in the game’s narrative. Check it out in full below.

Life is Strange: True Colors is set to release on September 10th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, PC and Stadia. A remastered collection including the first game and it’s spinoff is also coming later in the year to the same platforms, which you can read more about through here.

Yuffie's inclusion over Vincent to highlight is both about the canonical timeline of the original, as well as showing the potential divergence of Remake.

By now, it’s common knowledge that Final Fantasy 7 Remake was not quite what it seemed. While the game recreated a large part of the opening Midgar section of the original 1997 classic, it ultimately takes the story in what could be a radically different direction. Many eyes are on the second part of this new Remake series, and where it will go from here. We did get something of a sneak peek of what post-Midgar content could look like with this year’s enhanced re-release of the game, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade and its DLC Episode INTERmission that featured Yuffie, a character that was one of two optional party characters in the original Final Fantasy 7. Why was she chosen over the other optional character, the vampiric Vincent? Well, interestingly, it comes down to the foot being somewhat in both the old and new canon of this saga.

Speaking with TheGamer, Co-director Motomu Toriyama spoke after Yuffie’s role in INTERmission. He states that Yuffie’s previous status as an optional character gave them a bigger chance to expand on her character at an earlier stage of the game’s plot. Those who played INTERmission know that Yuffie’s backstory has seemingly been slightly altered, meaning it was also an opportunity to introduce older fans to a new take on the character. When talking about why they chose her as opposed to Vincent, interestingly, Toriyama gives the simple answer that Vincent is sleeping canonically and gave them less wiggle room to insert him into the Midgar section, showing that despite Remake‘s universe being a different take on the story of FF7, there are still certain beats that are planned to be preserved.

“Yuffie, the heroine of Episode INTERmission was not guaranteed to join your party in the original game, but that actually made her a character that we had more freedom to expand on the backstory for. Compared to Vincent, who was canonically sleeping in a coffin under the Shinra Mansion and so could not be moved around, Yuffie was journeying around the world as a materia hunter. By inserting the events in Midgar from FF7R Episode INTERmission into that journey, we can show the feelings that she had towards that incident that are usually hidden behind her cheery personality, and that will tie into her story further down the line.”

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade and Episode INTERmission are available now on PlayStation 5 with the base Final Fantasy Remake also available on PlayStation 4.

The patch is planned to go live next week.

Outriders finally came after a very long wait, but it seems that wait was mostly worth it. The word of mouth on the looter shooter has largely been positive, and we were big fans ourselves. It has not been without issue however, as many have had problems with the game and its online functionality. The game’s first major patch is also coming next week, and it remains to be seen how much it will realistically fix in regards to all that, but the name of the game is stability.

Over on Steam, People Can Fly extensively detailed the plans for the first major patch. Things like crashes, GPU performances are at the top of the list along with the hopes of once again making cross-play viable across platforms. There’s also a multitude of other fixes and tweaks that will come without a major update through hotfixes. You can read the full details through here, as well as the full planned patch notes below.

Outriders is available now on most major platforms, with the first big patch planned to release sometime next week. There is also an appreciation package coming for players who experienced issues during this launch period, but no timeframe has been set for it.

It’s been a very long time coming, but Outriders will finally release to help kick off the month of April. The game is coming to nearly everything under the sun, and that obviously includes PC. We’ve got a good idea of when the game will launch on the platform, which was revealed alongside pre-load and launch times on consoles, and now we know the rig you’ll need.

Via the game’s official Twitter, we have the stats. At minimum, the requirements are pretty reasonable requiring Intel i5-3470 or AMD FX-8350 with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti or AMD Radeon R9 270x with 8 GB of RAM. Recommended jumps things up a bit, with Intel i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600x and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 with 16 GB of RAM. If you really want to kick it up to Ultra settings, be prepared to need a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD RX 6800XT with an Intel i7-10700K or Ryzen 7 3700x, also with 16 GB of RAM. The game’s pre-load is also available now on Steam.

Outriders will release on most major platforms on April 1st. We got a chance to sit down with the developers for an intensive interview, which you can read in full through here.

After 6 years in development, it's finally official.

Final Fantasy 11 was the franchise’s first foray into the MMO space, and while it never quite took off to the same extent as Final Fantasy 14, it still held a special place for some. For roughly six years, a mobile version of the game has said to be in development from Nexon, who even stated it was still being worked on as early as a year ago. However, it was reported from anonymous sources at the end of 2020 that the game had finally been cancelled. Now, it seems that is official.

As reported originally by Gamebiz, Nexon stated in their most recent financial report that the mobile version of the game, originally commissioned in March of 2015, had quietly been canned. There isn’t many details given, only that it was not meeting expectations. The title’s development was halted at the end of last year, matching up with the rumors mentioned above, and then officially cancelled.

Final Fantasy 11 originally released for PS2 and PC, with a Xbox 360 version coming later. The servers for the PS2 and 360 editions have since been shut down, but the game remains running on PC.

It was last year when we got the announcement of Balan Wonderworld. The 3D platformer is a big throwback to an era of the past, and it certainly does look like something you don’t see much nowadays. The game also has a demo you can check out across the various platforms it will launch on, and now Square has given us a look at some later parts of the game.

The publisher released three new videos for Wonderworld. They are from Chapter 10, 11 and 12. They include a painter with an artistic block, a firefighter with heroic intentions and then a lonely man who is ignored by the world. It’s well in line with what we’ve come to see from the earlier parts of the game. It certainly has its own style, that much you can’t deny. Check out all three below.

Balan Wonderworld will launched March 26th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and PC. The game’s demo is currently live and includes content from the game’s Chapter 1, Chapter 4 and Chapter 6.
