Earlier today there were reports that Assassin’s Creed Unity suffers from choppy frame rate and stuttering issues across all platforms. In order to verify this claim, we tested the PlayStation 4 version of the game in one of the most crowded areas of the game. The results were pretty encouraging as there were no visible signs stuttering or frame rate drops in the video above.
However it must be noted that we tested just one area and there might be a possibility that frame rate drops might happen in another section of the map. During our initial playthrough of the PS4 version, we found next to no frame rate drops but we will keep you updated if we find anything that leads to a more consistent drop in performance.
It must also be noted that we had applied the day one patch which is more than 880 MB. We saw no difference between the patched and unpatched version of the game. So far Assassin’s Creed Unity on the PS4 is a fairly stable game and if there any issues (which we did not came across except several glitches), we hope Ubisoft will patch them out soon.
