Destiny The Taken King_Crucible 05

Now that Destiny’s The Taken King is officially out and available, Bungie is likely starting to turn its full attention to its sequel. In fact, even if the company’s entire attention hasn’t been turned to the second game in the series, there are some indications it’s at least looking towards the future just a little bit. If new rumors can be believed, it appears Bungie will be leaning on High Moon Studios for help in making this second full game.

If the two companies do decide to work together, it would hardly be the first time. There has been talk about the two companies working together before and it is because of this that people are apparently more than willing to believe they will be working together in the future. To be clear, just what High Moon Studios are going to be doing when it comes to Destiny 2 is still completely unknown. The rumors surfaced thanks to a behind the scenes look at the development of the original Destiny made by Kotaku.

The article talked about a piece that was eventually cut out of the original game. Kotaku alleges that there are sources claiming this cut out part of the story wasn’t thrown into the trash heap. Rather the chunk that was cut out was passed on to High Moon Studios in order to work on the next game. How this chunk will be used and what will be changed is a long way from being revealed. We’ll just have to wait and see if those rumors come to pass when it comes to Destiny 2.
