The Last Guardian update: Still in development

Posted By | On 21st, Jun. 2012

Want The Last Guardian this gen? Well we have no idea what’s going to happen but we do have a small update on what’s the status. Fumito Ueda who has left Sony but is working on the game in a freelance capacity.

“It’s been business as usual,” Ueda said to Kotaku. “The only things that’ve really changed are the terms of my contract.”

So it is certain Ueda won’t be working with Sony on their next-gen platform, but at least he realizes it is his duty to finish this game which has become a farce.

The game was announced in 2009 and has been purportedly in development for six years now. The main reason for the delay was technical issues and lots of Sony studios are helping Team ICO.
