Pillar of Autumn (Halo: Reach)
The last mission of Halo: Reach, Pillar of Autumn, was simply brilliant, and a love letter to all Halo fans. It had great, thrilling gunfights against hordes of Covenant batallions, it had us man an anti-air canon, it had a lot of great story elements, it was atmospheric and delivered the feel of a world on the edge of destruction perfectly, and it tied in with Halo: Combat Evolved very well, with references to both Cortana and Master Chief. People often find it hard to pick out just one great missions in a game as good as Halo: Reach, but for us, it was kind of a no-brainer.
