In all your eagerness to get started on your shiny new game, how many of you click through the myriad menu screens and start playing on the easy or normal setting? A few hours later and you’re facing the final boss and realise you should have started on the toughest difficulty. You’ve been eyeing this game for ages and it cost the earth, but now it’s almost over; you could have savoured the experience and given yourself a real challenge but now you’ve seen all there is to see. And you no doubt forgot about stacked achievements, didn’t you? You could have mopped up hundreds of Gamerscore if you’d only started on a harder setting. Now you’ve got to decide whether you can be bothered to face playing the whole thing again.
