3. Gears of War: Hammer of Dawn

Hammer of Dawn is one of the most deadly weapons that we have witnessed in recent years.  It uses satellite to eject a powerful ray of lasers which can destroy any locust in the game. Now when the laser is ejected, you can either focus it on a single enemy or drag it along to take hordes of locusts out. The down point of using this weapon is that you need an open space and also the area should be clear of any air interference.

2. Dead Space: Plasma Cutter

Dead Space had some of the craziest weapons in a thriller game. In fact I would have to list all the weapons that were utilized in the game, but the one that stood out was the Plasma Cutter. The beauty of this weapon was the ability to slice the necromorphs either vertically or horizontally. Using this weapon along with the stasis gave the player extra time as to accurately slice a limb or their hands.

1. F.E.A.R.: Type 7 Particle Weapon

Have you found any other better weapon that can absolutely reduce your enemy in to ashes? Type 7 Particle Weapon is one such weapon. The gun will eject an electric bolt which will first rip the flesh and then turn the skeleton to ashes.  Eeew!

Honorable Mentions

  • Fallout 3: Fatman
  • The Orange Box: Gravity Gun
  • Red Faction Guerilla: Rail Driver
  • Dead Rising: Bicycle
  • Borderlands : VRR550 BURNING SNIPER
