3. Half-Life

Half-Life has a lot of strange elements in its now legendary story, but the ending still stands out as a particularly bizarre element. The final boss itself is a weirdly proportioned baby head that shoots teleporters at you, and then G-man suddenly shows up out of the blue after the boss is vanquished. The morally ambiguous G-man is odd enough in the way he speaks, but his binary choice that isn't really much of a choice is also an oddity in a game that otherwise holds fast to a strict internal logic.
