11 Announcements We Want To See At E3 This Year

Battlefield: Bad Company 3

Battlefield: Bad Company 3, too, has been leaked time and again, and DICE has said in as many words that they will continue onward with the Bad Company sub-series (and shame on them if they don’t). With the Battlefield franchise bringing in so much revenue for EA, they obviously won’t let it rest for long. Medal of Honor: Warfighter will probably cover their needs this year for a massive selling shooter, and it’d be too early to release a fourth Battlefield game in 2013, so Bad Company 3 would make the most sense, and this year’s E3 would be the perfect time to announce it.

God of War Vita

Sony needs to do something about the PS Vita- fast. They’ve announced almost all franchises they have under their belt for their new handheld system, and a lot are already out. The only big franchise that is yet to see the light of the day on the Vita is God of War, and it would make no sense at all if Sony did not release a God of War game on the PS Vita when they desperately need to sell the system. Even so, a God of War game would be an awesome addition to the Vita’s library. With Ascension releasing next year, Sony might want to capitalize on the hype.

Quantic Dream’s Next Project

Quantic Dream recently showed a tech demo for a mini-project they worked on a while back, and they’ve also started hiring people to work on a new game, so a new game might well be underway. Could it possibly be a launch title for the PS4? Or maybe one of the last hurrahs for the PS3? Either way, an announcement at E3 this year is very likely (though not undeniably so), and while details might slightly be thinner than what one might want, knowing that David Cage’s excellent studio is working on something will be satisfaction enough for the time being.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Lords of Shadow 2 has been in the new a lot lately, but it hasn’t officially been announced yet. It’s been plenty of time since the excellent (yet no so imaginative) reboot came out, and a sequel is obviously in the works, so we expect a reveal at E3 this year. It’s very likely. Konami might even announce the game for the Wii U along with the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Let’s just hope this time they don’t shamelessly rip off God of War and try something unique on their own.
