13. Gears of War 2: The Riftworm

The Riftworm is your almost standard earthworm on a high dose of steroids. And probably exposed to a bit too high amount of radiation. So what we ultimately get, is a ginormous worm that has an appetite for COG soldiers and whole cities. What does Marco and his buddies do? Step right into the worm to end it once and for all. He didn’t even have to bring his plucky side out for it.

After entering the Riftworm, Marco goes all out on severing the worm’s heart. If only Marco and his cronies had been inquisitive in the biology class, they would’ve known that one heart doesn’t cut it for worms. But that’s the fun of it! You get to severe more aortas while killing weird screeching critters popping out of the innards of the worm. Probably a massive parasite problem but we didn’t mind. The Riftworm’s fall is one of the most fond memories we have had.
