Nomada Studio made a strong impression with Gris back in 2018, but its spiritual successor, Neva, might be even more of a resounding success. Gorgeous visuals and deeply affecting storytelling combine in an experience that also impresses in the gameplay department, from combat to level design to traversal. Neva feels like a much more confident outing from its clearly talented developer, and stands as one of 2024’s most special games.
