Rogue Legacy
When playing a video game, usually death is something to avoid at all costs as it will usually bring up the dreaded death screen that will just annoy the heck out of the player. But, in the rogue-lite platformer; Rogue Legacy, death is as much a game mechanic as swinging your sword or jumping up and down. The game is fairly simple, you are to explore a randomly generated dungeon to defeat a total of five bosses. Each time the player dies, their child will succeed them and continue the quest on their behalf. Each child is different in their own way, you can even become a dwarf, there are also different classes that change the method the player will play. But, nevertheless, the game doesn’t treat death as a bad thing, quite the opposite actually, it embraces it with open arms.
