Guitar Hero and Rock Band have famously always included dozens of songs as DLC. This not only extended the game’s life, but also added more content for relatively cheap. Guitar Hero Live has something called the Guitar Hero Channel. What it really is, is a loop of music videos that you can play along too. You can’t just choose the song you want. You are at the mercy of the channel. Unless you buy a song pass that allows you to choose what songs you want to rock through. Choosing what songs to master and impress your friends with is part of the fun of Guitar Hero, and Activision has locked it behind a pay wall.
