METAL WOLF CHAOS XD

Back before FromSoftware became industry legends with their Soulsborne games, they worked on a couple of notable (and very different) projects as well. One of those received a remaster this year with Metal Wolf Chaos XD, and it was… weird. Because in many ways, it was exactly what it needed to be- campy, over-the-top, and unpolished. But while those are things that defined the game back when it first launched, and define them even now, those things are also flaws that bring the experience down in many ways. Is there enjoyment to be found here? Certainly, but how much of it you find can vary wildly depending on what you’re looking for.
