343 Industries looking to hire someone with “experience in MMO development”

Halo MMO?

Posted By | On 21st, Nov. 2012

With the recent release of Halo 4 resulting in commercial and critical success, Microsoft might be thinking of expanding the universe beyond the new planned trilogy as well. How? Well, this isn’t exactly new. A Halo MMO has been rumoured to be a real thing for years now, but it looks like this time it might just be true.

343 Industries, the new home of Halo, is looking to hire two new people, and one of the job requirements is purely online focused. Some of the requirements are “Experience building large-scale services and/or client-server applications” and “Knowledge of game design concepts”.

But the one that catches the eye is this: “Experience in MMO development.”

This could purely mean that 343 might be looking to expand the online functionalities of Halo 4 itself, and maybe looking to improve things with the planned Halo 5 and 6. Or maybe the Halo MMO is finally starting to materialize.

What do you guys think? Tell us in you comments.
