34. DmC Debut Trailer

When people saw the debut trailer for Devil May Cry Reboot, they were not really thrilled about it. In fact initial reception to the new design of Dante and “change” in direction of the series was quite negative. Everything that a Devil May Cry fan knew about the series – especially given how events played out after the fourth game – was changed including the way Dante looked. So there was obvious outcry and debates about the new look of the game and where the franchise was headed, including an idiotic petition to the White House to get Obama of all people to change Dante’s look back. The game released to critical acclaim however, and did quite well in sales. Ninja Theory later released a DLC package that allowed gamers to choose the old Dante as a player skin (despite mocking the look in one trailer, with the new Dante saying he’d never have long, white locks “in a million years).
