The definition of a hero is one who is endowed with great courage, strength and exceptional bravery. We as gamers look up to the protagonists in video games, because we can relate to them in one way or the other. Many heroes come from broken backgrounds and have messed up families and face foes that are ten times larger or more powerful, but they still manage to overcome odds and stand up in the face of tyranny, oppression and manage to put other’s interest’s first rather themselves. We have a lot of memories with some of these heroes, they have made us smile and remember the good times. For this reason we have compiled a list of 97 badass heroes in video games.

98. Gunnery Sergeant Edward Buck (Halo 3: ODST)

Edward has fought in a lot of battles, and has endured many traumas which included watching many of his mates die in combat. During the course of his battles, he encountered scarabs, Yanme’s hive, and battled through a Covenant outpost, all of which he triumphed out of sheer tenacity.
