For those of you who were afraid that the current gen versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts, the upcoming entry in the long running shooter saga, would be nerfed now that the studio Infinity Ward has the next generation versions of the game to focus on, don’t worry. Infinity Ward says it is handling development duties on all versions of the game, and that it is treating them all equally.

Speaking to Polygon, Hirshberg, Activision’s CEO of publishing, had this to say: “We have the same development team working on the games for the next generation and the current generation, because what this ensures is that the current generation isn’t an afterthought or something that is just outsourced,” Hirshberg told Polygon. “We want to be sure that we consider the things that are the innovations going into the next generation of games that the current generation can benefit from.”

Call of Duty: Ghosts is out later this year on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One. A Wii U version is also reportedly in the works.
