Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor Trailer Teaches You How to Forge Your Nemesis

Go to Mordor, kill something, get goodies.

Monolith Productions’ Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is finally available worldwide and is receiving some fairly good critical praise. In light of the game’s biggest innovation – the Nemesis system – the developer has released a trailer detailing just how it works.

The Nemesis system directly ties Orcs and Uruks to their captains and warchiefs. Every time you kill a bodyguard the boss gets more exposed until you can eventually hunt them down and ram your broken sword down their throat. Sounds a bit much, I know, but trust me it’s horrifyingly satisfying,

The innovative new means of enemy and player tracking makes the game hugely replayable as well as slightly addictive as you’re always being hunted or doing the hunting. This coupled with the randomly generated enemy traits (fear of fire, fear of creatures and susceptibility to stealth attacks etc.) makes each encounter new and exciting. What are your thoughts?
